Workshop onSeptember 9 and 10, 2017

The aim of this training is to transmit a set of techniques of animation facilitating the exchange between refugees and local populations.

This first session is offered free of charge to social workers, community leaders and volunteers in charge of the reception of interested refugees, within the limits of available places.

Friday from 5 pm

  • Welcoming participants

Saturday from 9 am to noon

  • Beginning of training
  • Self-positioning questionnaire
  • Brief presentation of the Sharing Is Caring Refugees project
  • Workshop 1: « Who are the refugees? What are their needs ? »
    Crossed-interventions of all partners and participants
    The objective of this step is to present the results of the survey carried out by the young participants of the CIS project, who are themselves refugees, on the needs that they thought they could answer in the framework of the operation. Similar approaches met during  SIC international mobilities, and the practices and expectations of the participants will be discussed in a round table

Saturday from 2 to 5 pm

  • Workshop 2: « How to design and manufacture an information box? »
    Speakers Yves Lévêque, project manager and Vincent Grangé, show technician, Association des Graphistes de l’Ombre
    After a brief reminder of the origins of the givebox movement, the objective of this workshop is for each participant to make their own SIC information box using the supplied reusable materials (European palette), with the help of the speakers present

Sunday 9 am to noon

  • Workshop 3: « Living Library, an animation tool for creating life stories and preparing service offers »
    Intervener Maja ZUNIC FABJANTIC, Project Officer DRPDNM (Slovenia)
    The objective of this workshop is to discover and appropriate the animation method « Living Library, in order to create / update a life story and at least one service offer per participant

Sunday from 2 to 5 pm

  • Workshop 4: « Indigo World, an application for exchange of services on smartphones »
    Intervener Laura LE MOIGNE, computer scientist, association of Graphistes de l’Ombre
    The objective of this workshop is to discover the application for free smartphone Indigo World, by publishing and testing a few geo-localized service offerings.

    In addition, a brief overview will be given of the existing alternatives

5 pm: evaluation, debriefing, follow-up

6 pm: Departure of the trainees (possibility of a last shared dinner for those who can stay until the evening)
